ABOUT REDHANDED

We are now back-to-back Listeners’ Choice
British Podcast Awards Champions!!! 🥇🥇🥇

Listeners’ Choice is the only award voted by the public, and to do it three years in a row is unbelievable. Thank you to all our amazing listeners who have shown up each year to get us the hat-trick!

Amazon Music: Best of 2022

We’re honoured to be included in Amazon Music’s Best Podcast of the Year collection for 2022!

To celebrate, Amazon plastered our faces around busy London locations on a Saturday night in December. The billboards were projected on Shoreditch High Street, Regent Street & New Oxford Street.

Not bad, eh?

Spotify’s 2020 Number One (Case Closed)

2020 was a year of ups and downs for everyone, RedHanded included. Our social lives tumbled away into oblivion, our pasta consumption grew frighteningly out of control, and once or twice we failed to sing “Happy Birthday” while we washed our hands.

However in true RedHanded form, no matter dark, desolate, and dystopian things got in the middle, we always end with a bang. As the year came to an end we got some unexpected and amazing news, we were crowned Spotify’s most popular True Crime podcast in the UK, and we are ecstatic.

All of the credit goes to our ever-growing family of listeners. Accolades like this create amazing opportunities to make greater content for our listeners, it opens doors, and puts us on the radar for bigger interviews and bigger sources.

Hannah Maguire

Hannah thought she was going to be an actor, then like many, she was a teacher, and then like not so many, she wound up co-hosting the true-crime podcast RedHanded. As a dyslexic devourer of audiobooks and a lover of stories, podcasting was made for her.

On a whim, Hannah studied Social Anthropology at SOAS, because she thought it would make her sound interesting. Luckily, it lent her an anthropological appetite to understand why people do what they do.

Suruthi Bala

Suruthi has always been an independent, overachiever. Whether she was a 3-year-old with loose laces because she refused to let anyone tie them, or a 5-year-old who had just moved to the UK, and could write perfect cursive with a fountain pen but couldn’t speak a word of English.

After graduating from The University of Birmingham with a BSc and an MSc in Economics, and quickly becoming disillusioned with the world of finance she went into the relentlessly tiring world of events. After a year of travelling, she met Hannah, and RedHanded was born.
